We’re thrilled to announce that, with support from the JAMS Foundation, we will be kicking off an exciting new project this fall in Louisville, KY: Enabling Good Governance and Community Thriving with Social Trust.
We know that sharing personal stories in conversation grows connections across difference and social trust. And we know that these civic relationships support good governance. In partnership with the internationally-known Muhammad Ali Center, which is based in Louisville, and with A Peace of My Mind, a Minneapolis-based arts and media organization, we will be working with local leaders to intentionally build this civic muscle and to spread the story of the power of compassion.
We last had the good fortune to work with Louisville civic leaders over seven years ago when we helped the city operationalize its Compassionate Cities charter, and we are very much looking forward to returning. We’ll keep you posted!
